About the Job
We are currently seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine maintenance and repair, particularly with Detroit Engines. The primary responsibilities of this role include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. The candidate should possess excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines, focusing on Detroit Engines.
- Inspect engines and identify issues using diagnostic equipment.
- Disassemble and reassemble engines, replacing faulty parts as needed.
- Test engine performance and ensure proper functionality.
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician, with a minimum of [insert number] years of shop experience.
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with Detroit Engines.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- ASE certification (preferred).
