Dietary Manager
Our Skilled Nursing Facility, located near Plainfield, IL is seeking a Dietary Manager who is self-motivated, has previous experience, is organized, and has excellent communication skills. The Dietary Manager will assist us in achieving our mission of growing a quality-oriented and employee-friendly organization.
Dietary Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
- Run day-to-day operations within the department.
- Manage food service employees–scheduling, hiring, performance management.
- Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and make only authorized food substitutes.
- Prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders.
- Review care plans as necessary to assure that the resident's dietary needs are being met.
- Provide nutrition counseling with assistance from a registered dietitian.
- Work as part of the interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth operation within the facility.
Dietary Manager Qualifications:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma
- Must be possess Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification
- Must have, as a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a nursing care facility.
- Must be knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary functions in nursing care facilities.
