Location: NYC Metro Area
Work Schedule: 3 Days On-Site, 2 Days Remote
Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000 base salary plus performance-based bonus

Position Overview
Our client, a growing company in the NYC Metro Area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role will focus on general ledger accounting, financial statements preparation, and assisting with financial audits. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining internal controls and providing financial insights to leadership. The candidate will work on-site 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Assist with the month-end close process, preparing accurate and timely financial statements and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies, maintaining strong internal controls.
- Prepare financial reports and provide insights to support management decision-making.
- Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning.
- Support external financial audits, working closely with auditors to provide accurate and timely documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure tax compliance, assisting with tax filings and regulatory reporting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
