About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to play a pivotal role in enhancing our organization's efficiency and productivity. You will focus on delivering accounting services (onboarding, advisory, tax preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll) to new and existing clients. This senior-level role requires strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a strong understanding of accounting services. Your success will be measured by client retention, satisfaction, and workforce performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Development teams to manage the planning, release, deployment, and monitoring of ClientBook, Salesforce, and PowerBI for Accounting and Advisory Services.

Gather requirements and create business process documents for DevOps partners, ensuring alignment with timelines and roadmaps.

Partner with VP-level stakeholders to meet executive, manager, and operational requests, including regular dashboard updates.

Lead organized change management initiatives related to internal processes, systems updates, and SOP revisions.

Oversee the execution of go-to-market strategies for executive priorities, ensuring high-quality communication and field implementation.

Manage Accounting and Advisory Services Project Management Offices (PMO), ensuring the timely execution of executive priorities.

Collaborate closely with directors across departments to ensure successful delivery of executive initiatives.

Facilitate Weekly Business Review meetings with C-Suite executives.

Own the OKRs process across Accounting and Advisory Services, driving adoption and alignment across management teams.
Role Expectations:

Develop and execute operational strategies that improve client experiences, retention, and loyalty.

Drive initiatives to optimize processes, efficiency, and service delivery within tax prep, bookkeeping, advisory, and payroll services for thousands of small businesses.

Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance accuracy and efficiency in tax accounting operations.

Monitor weekly, monthly and annual key performance metrics to be on the front row of trends, changes and improvements.

Perform regular ad-hoc analysis to understand the “why” behind business trends, identifying the challenges and finding new opportunities.

Use data analysis to make recommendations for strategic and tactical changes in the business to drive revenue growth and operational improvement.

Work closely with client-facing teams to ensure a deep understanding of client needs and expectations.

Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to establish reporting systems that align with business goals.

Partner with leadership on forecasting, goal setting, and performance optimization.

Provide managers with performance management tools and best practices for immediate action on KPIs.

Monitor and address reporting issues, process gaps, and operational inefficiencies.

Establish, track, and present KPIs and trends to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, Finance, or related fields. MBA or Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management with a proven track record in leadership.

Experience in call center operations, particularly those emphasizing concierge-style customer care, quality management, and workforce planning.

Proven expertise in process improvement, team leadership, and driving operational success.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.

Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities, working with both internal teams and clients.

Proficiency in accounting software and systems preferred.

Knowledge of tax laws and regulations is a plus but optional.
Compensation:
$120-$140K
