About the role:
The Director of Engineering is a senior leader responsible for overseeing all engineering activities within TNC. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, project management, and regulatory compliance. The Director of Engineering will work closely with senior management to ensure the efficient execution of Engineering department functions on company-wide and project specific levels. This role reports into the Vice President, Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engineering strategies and policies that align with the company's mission and vision.
- Oversee engineering projects, including design, construction, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
- Establish technical strategies in partnership with project organizations and company leadership.
- Manage engineering budgets and resources.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals.
- Stay current with industry trends, innovation and advancements.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Nuclear, Electrical)
- Master's degree in engineering or a related field preferred
- Professional Engineering license preferred
- 15+ years experience in the commercial nuclear power industry
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, design, and project management
- Experience with regulatory compliance and quality assurance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of success in engineering leadership
- Ability to lead and motivate teams

Estimated Starting Salary Range:
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $200,000 - $225,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company's discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
