The salary range for this position is $157,646-$197,057 per year based upon a San Francisco location. Offered salary is dependent upon experience and location. Kendo Brands has a hybrid work model with three days in office and two days remote each week.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Global Brand Marketing leads the overall 360 marketing vision, strategy and execution globally. This is a key leadership role, responsible for building and mentoring teams, and fostering cross-functional teamwork in order to effectively execute the global vision across content marketing, experiential marketing, upper funnel paid media & breakthrough activation levers.
With the goal of on-budget flawless execution, exceeding financial goals and managing the team to deliver day-to-day business objectives, this person must be passionate about the beauty industry and dream big, with excellent leadership, teamwork and communication skills. Key to this role is understanding and communicating what is needed from each cross-functional team to deliver the best execution from external agencies & internal counterparts in Social, Influencer, Digital and Brand Management.
This role will report to the Vice President of Brand Management & Global Marketing, Fenty Beauty New Development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
360 Go-To-Market Strategy Development (launches + always-on)
- Set high level marketing strategy and roadmap, get leadership & Fenty Corp buy-in, and drive execution globally.
- Develop and execute an impactful ongoing campaigns that continue to resonate and beat growth expectations
- Own the ongoing Marketing Calendar across all key levers; communicate globally to ensure execution alignment across regions.
- Monitor all key business KPIs; develop and execute recommendations to optimize performance.
- Codify buyer personas, audience segmentation, and a full-funnel messaging matrix
- Create programs that drive customer loyalty and increase brand trust.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to ensure successful execution of campaigns and initiatives.
- Own upper-funnel media, including digital & experiential
- Develop and manage Marketing Budget.
Content
- Collaborate with Creative team to build-out the content strategy to support all Marketing Initiatives, including ongoing business support.
- Own and manage insights-driven creative and marketing briefs, ensuring high impact and effective speed to market for all campaigns and marketing content globally.
- Partner with Social and Influencer to identify overall content needs globally, determine the appropriate source of content by Marketing Initiative and develop content guidelines for external creators.
- Own and communicate full content library & strategic usage to all markets globally.
External Partners - Agencies, Content, Fenty Corp
- Manage key agency relationships and timelines to ensure on-time and on-budget execution of all key initiatives.
- Ensure synergies between external agencies and internal strategies.
- Manage all approvals between Agencies, Fenty Corp and internal teams.
Team
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional partners to ensure clarity and alignment around brand direction, key strategic decisions and business performance.
- Coordinate and optimize cross functional marketing alignment processes across entire organization.
- Collaborate closely with Creative, Global Brand Management, Sales, Social & Influencer for strategic development of marketing plans and flawless execution.
- Develop plan to strategically scale team alongside business growth
REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of related business experience, beauty experience strongly preferred
- Passion for cosmetics/ beauty industry
- Must demonstrate strong strategic, creative, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Must be an effective leader who can inspire teams around a shared goal
- Thrives in an environment that is extremely fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented, and flexibility is critical in order to be successful
- Ability to work and drive sound business decisions when dealing with ambiguity
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Able to effectively present to and advocate for ideas with senior management
- Able to build collaborative relationships and work cross-functionally with marketing, operations groups, education, and creative
- Able to handle multiple priorities, and guide team to do the same, while meeting business objectives
