Job Summary
Under the direction and guidance of the Vice President, Physician Services, shall provide oversight and direction to the medical practices at Witham Health Services. This position will supervise and coordinate actions necessary to analyze, develop and expand the clinical operations in the physician practices as outlined in the Strategic Plan and supported by the Medical Staff Development Plan. This includes the development and implementation of policies and procedures to provide for the delivery of high-quality patient care in an efficient- cost effective manner in established and new practices. This individual will work with affiliated physicians and independent physicians and physician groups as requested to improve patient care and experience. This position will support the practice Business Plans as well as coordinate and collaborate with other business services. He/She will continually evaluate the competitive healthcare services arena, utilization of services and facilities, physician preferences and practice referral patterns as well as community needs. This position will keep abreast of healthcare trends and provide the hospital with ideas/strategies in the development of its practice management program.
Minimum Education/License/Certification Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or other relevant health care degree.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in healthcare, preferably in a physician practice management role.
- Intricate knowledge of issues facing hospitals, systems and medical practices.
- Knowledge of personnel management principals and concepts.
- Must have general knowledge of process and quality improvement, patient experience and governmental rules and regulations.
