Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Plan Operations and Administration, the Director of Member and Community Engagement is responsible for development and execution of the plan’s marketing strategy to ensure achievement of statewide membership goals, as well as the delivery of plan-defined messages to Medicaid beneficiaries and plan members throughout the state. In addition, the Director is responsible for achieving and maintaining positive relationships with key community organizations and stakeholders to include development and implementation of communication strategies and thought leadership events and initiatives designed to increase the value of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Michigan brand within our communities.
+ Develop comprehensive community and member engagement and enrollment strategy.
+ Provide strategic community and community relationship counsel to health plan leadership.
+ Work with external partners and health plan leadership to establish and/or strengthen health plan presence in community.
+ Keep up to date on our external market drivers and internal products and partnership opportunities.
+ Monitor and measure marketing campaign effectiveness.
+ Assist with development of a communication plan for our external community and agency customers that promotes discussion and education on the issues that our stakeholders face.
+ Assist in the monitoring of agency issues of concern related to members and the community and apprises plan leadership.
+ Collaborate with plan departments that require both member and provider outreach support to include Quality, Communications, Integrated Health Care Management, Government Relations and Provider Network Management.
+ Assure that member engagement staff and other stakeholders that engage with members are appropriately educated and trained to comply with state agency contractual and administrative regulations related to marketing, health education and health promotion.
+ Represent MCO with the State on risks/requirements related to member enrollment, engagement, and communication.
+ Performs additional duties as required by state contract.
Education/Experience:
+ Bachelor’s Degree Marketing or related field or equivalent experience in Medicaid marketing and/or sales.
+ 10+ years of business experience including a minimum of 5 years of marketing management and supervisory experience.
+ Adequate computer software skills for Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
+ Ability to travel within assigned communities. Valid driver’s license and access to an adequately insured vehicle (per state requirements) required.
+ Additional licenses, if/as required by the state.
