Director PACS - Infirmary Health

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualfications: 

Bachelor’s degree in radiology, information technology, or other healthcare related discipline

3 of the most recent 5 years’ experience in a leadership role with healthcare and PACS related platforms

Demonstrated project management and implementation skills

Licensure, Registration, Certifications: 

One of the following through PACS Administrators Registry and Certification Association (PARCA):

• Certified PACS Associate (CPAS)
• Certified DICOM Integration Professional (CDIP)
• Certified PACS System Analyst (CPSA)4

Desired Qualifications: 

6 or more years’ experience as a technical administrator for EMR, PACS, and dictation systems in a clinical setting

Working knowledge with data reconciliation, applications testing, and end user training

Working knowledge of voice recognition software and hardware as well as administrative operations within a healthcare environment

Licensure, Registration, Certifications:

Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) through American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII)

Ensures quality image archiving and communications by providing day to day support and administration of the Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) and Radiology Informatics System (RIS) throughout Infirmary Health (IH). Serves as a liaison between Information Technology, Radiology, and other departments regarding medical imaging initiatives and processes for IH. Oversees the development, selection, implementation, and maintenance of information systems in order to provide systems services which meet the radiology needs of IH.
