A Brief Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain Optimization, the Director of Supply Chain Systems will have direct responsibility for leading the creation and maintenance of the Supply Chain portfolio of systems. The Director of Supply Chain Systems will direct both the product owner function as well as the implementation team and will lead initiatives related to solution identification, RFP's, budget creation, project management, deployment, upgrade path, aging of assets, etc. They will actively direct the process of managing our portfolio of projects and status updates and will act as program or project manager on key efforts as assigned.
The Director will travel to support and lead the implementation team related to deployment of the applications in the field. This role has a heavy OCM (org change management) responsibility as well bringing cross functional teams through the changes. This role will also serve as the industry expert, keeping up to speed with latest evolution of supply chain technologies developments.
What you will do
Leads the product owners (WMS, ERP, OMS, TMS, Etc.) as well as the implementation team to drive best in class business lead system design, configuration and implementation leading to improved, competition differentiating capabilities
Develops, coaches, and mentors key talent to build a world-class distribution and logistics organization
Conducting site visits to support implementation of operations systems and processes, lead projects, conduct site training, perform audits and assist optimization and standardization programs as well as share best practices across the enterprise, focusing on chain compliance.
The management of critical project components including project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk and procurement (RFP’s/RFQ’s) through all phases of the systems life cycle (Build, Implementation, Optimization, Monitoring, and Sunset)
Key stakeholder and partner with the Supply Chain PMO and/or Project Manager in the planning, execution, delivery, and close out of projects which modify, enhance, or impact operational processes within supply chain facilities specifically with regards to systems configuration and implementation and the delivery of new and/or modified standard operating procedures for supply chain.
Responsible for all asset management that includes but isn’t limited to life cycle planning, management and creation of annual capital budgets as well as 3-to-5-year life cycle projections (i.e. material handling equipment, devices, hardware, etc.)
Directs efforts in assessing the fit of complex IT solutions and identifying gaps early for subsequent evaluation in the pursuit/solution development process including the development of system roadmaps, business requirements, and user stories
Creates and ensures cross functional alignment on all business plans and network risk mitigation through proactive written and verbal communication, roadmaps, and system-driven operation reporting.
Maintains operational integrity, open communication channels, and resolves issues effectively and promptly
40-50% Travel to Supply Chain Sites or Home Office
Performs other duties as assigned

Education Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience Qualifications
10+ years progressive continuous improvement leadership, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment Preferred
Skills and Abilities
Strong process, investigation, influence and analytical skills (High proficiency)
Demonstrated ability to drive significant, positive impact across a large-scale operating company (High proficiency)
Experience with Korber (High Jump) or Tier 1 WMS and Oracle is a plus (Medium proficiency)
Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement Skills (Medium proficiency)
Experience with Project Management Software, Processes and Tools (High proficiency)
Experience with a growth organization focused on positive culture and engagement. Develops Talent (Low proficiency)
Experience in leading national or global initiatives with heavy organizational change management requirements (Medium proficiency)
