Job Details
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage processes, capturing, maintaining, and reporting accurate financial data. Ensure that the monthly/quarterly financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, meeting established deadlines while comparing results to prior year, monthly trends, and plan.
Communicate actual results clearly, create and modify reporting as needed to incorporate business changes.
Overall owner of the monthly close. Escalate issues as needed.
Business owner for GL system (currently Canopy) and Chart of Accounts maintenance. Evaluate, plan and test GL portion of migration to new systems.
Analyze complex financial information and develop reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
Control owner for key reconciliations and processes. Assist in developing and implementing financial controls, standards, and risk-mitigation.
Manage annual audit.
Train, supervise and develop accounting staff.
Analyze and lead adoption of new accounting pronouncements.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
10 or more years experience in accounting
Bachelor’s degree in accounitng
CPA required
