About the Job
We are looking for a Director of Benefits with a client of ours located in Boston, MA. The role emphasizes collaboration with the Total Rewards team and requires 10+ years of benefits experience, including 5+ years of leadership experience. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with a high level of professionalism, ready to handle both operational tasks and strategic oversight. This role is newly created and offers a salary of $200-230k and is fully onsite.

- Oversee a range of benefit programs, including health, life, disability, FSA, HSA, 401(k), and wellbeing benefits.
- Lead and support the Benefits and LOA teams, ensuring engagement and effective performance.
- Manage the annual benefits enrollment process, delivering a smooth employee experience.
- Provide financial oversight and manage budgets, especially regarding self-funded programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, including handling ACA filings, audits, and discrimination testing.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure high-quality service and competitive costs.
- Conduct regular market research to maintain a competitive benefits package.
- Present monthly KPIs to senior leadership on benefit plan utilization and costs.
- Serve as a resource for complex employee benefit issues.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years in benefits administration, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of benefits regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA).
- Proven ability to lead, manage teams, and solve complex problems.
- Experience in high-growth companies preferred (construction, engineering, or service industries).
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to provide best-in-class customer service.
