Rush Enterprises, Inc. is looking to hire an experienced Director of Body Shop. Responsible for providing support to the body shops at the Company’s dealership network to support the products we sell and customers we support.

Prinicipal Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Remain aware of manufacturer programs and policies, including warranty programs and policies, to ensure dealership body shop employees are educated about these programs and policies.
+ Analyze data and work with body shop managers to improve performance.
+ Evaluate market share data and work with managers to focus departments at our dealerships on increasing their market share.
+ Assist managers in resolving complex issues with customers and manufacturers.
+ Ensure that best practices are implemented within departments at the Company’s dealerships.
+ Work with the Recruiting Department to recruit best available technicians.
+ Develop a career development curriculum for department employees.
+ Work with departments to implement best practices, tooling purchases and facility improvements.
+ Analyze reports from Operations Support Group to identify areas of financial opportunity, process improvement, and department profitability.
+ Assist VP of Service Operations in accomplishing mission and objectives of division.
+ Become a procedural expert for proper support of operations and process specialists.
+ Be primary point of contact for problem resolution for division.
+ Review departmental processes to ensure efficiencies.
+ Become business system resource for dealer group.
+ Implement programs to improve CSI, technician efficiency, and shop through put.
+ Become OEM expert for assigned division.
+ Work with Director to coordinate efforts with insurance companies and fleets to direct business to our collision centers.
+ Must be willing to travel.
+ Must demonstrate positive corporate citizenship and the Rush Driving Principles.
+ Ability to multi task under pressure.
+ Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Strive for harmony and teamwork with the department and with all other departments.

Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Experience in Body Shop Managment or Service Shop Management
