Pure Storage is seeking a business development leader for our Hyperscale Line of Business, which is responsible for bringing Pure platforms to large-scale public and private clouds.
SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE…
• Establish and own collaborative hyperscale customer relationships
• Identify, close and manage new revenue opportunities within targeted accounts
• Drive customer delight and business transformation leveraging Pure’s innovation, simplicity, and technology
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE…
• A demonstrated track record in leading “sell to” business development or sales with platform technologies and services in the hyperscale market
• Understanding of software architectures and the underlying hardware platforms used in the storage layer in large-scale cloud infrastructure, coupled with an acumen for technical selling
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization including the executive level, and across stakeholders including Engineering, Product and Procurement
• Strong personal network and existing relationships within the hyperscale market and successful track record with breaking into new customer accounts
• A passion for understanding customer requirements and influencing customer and internal decisions to maximize opportunities and outcomes
• Strong cross-functional leadership internally across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support in pioneering new routes and products to market
• Experience as a liaison between customers and 3rd-Party ODMs on technology qualification and integration in cloud platforms
• Experience with both system sales and technology licensing business models and associated contracts
• A passion for technology and innovation, a desire to work hand in hand with world-class engineering teams
• Executive level presentation and communication skills both internally and externally with customers and partners
• Ability to travel up to 25% for customer/partner visits and events; primarily domestic
• Minimum 10 years technology sales or business development experience, 5 years experience directly with large-scale public and private clouds
• Bachelors Degree; MBA a plus
• As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 4 days a week. As outlined in Pures Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
