Microsoft Advertising is seeking a world-class Director of Executive Platforms & Narratives to oversee our leaders in-market strategy and drive the executive storytelling approach that shapes the way the market views Microsoft Advertising. The Director of Executive Platforms & Narratives plays a pivotal role in shaping Microsoft Advertising's executive narratives and is responsible for influencing when, where and how key Microsoft Advertising leaders show up in the market, tell our story, address business and industry topics, and set the stage for our sellers to do their best work. This position involves overseeing the executive narrative strategy and development, collaborating with cross-functional teams, aligning closely across Microsoft Advertising to stay in tune with our products and business - all to drive excellence in our executive-level storytelling. In essence, you are focused on achieving Microsoft Advertising's business objectives through compelling, resonant, audience-first storytelling by leaders across channels and formats.

**Responsibilities**
**Executive** **Narrative Strategy and Execution**
+ Develop, refine, and distribute various narratives related to the business, generative AI and our product developments.
+ Leverage business and product updates, marketplace insights and customer feedback to enhance our storytelling and connect with our audiences effectively.
+ Work across Microsoft Advertising and with partner teams across Microsoft to stay close to business and engineering developmentsand collaborate with various teams to aid in the continued development of the narratives.
+ Maintain depth of knowledge on Microsoft Advertising's business, where and how our story is being told in the market, and industry evolution - especially related to privacy and regulation, Advertisng Technology (ad tech)/Marketing Technology (martech), generative AI, competitor news.
+ Advise executives and executive communications partners on the customization, personalization and unique delivery of the core narratives.
+ Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop narrative content and messaging.
+ Drive first-party event keynotes for the Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Advertising.
+ Experiment with new formats, storytelling techniques, and distribution channels in partnership with the Director of Content Marketing.
**Executive In-M** **arket** **/External** **Storytelling Strategy** **and Implementation**
+ Operationalize our executive in-market (external) visits, advising on event placement and supplementary industry activities.
+ Drive a successful in-market execution plan that meets the needs of our clients and partners, our executives, our Microsoft Advertising team and the industry.
+ Manage executive briefings, inclusive of identifying executive speakers, strategizing content and adjusting narratives to support.
**Industry** **Planning and** **Activation**
+ In partnership with stakeholders, proactively pitch for keynotes, events, awards and recognition that enable our executives to tell our story and elevate our business.
+ Develop an external media room to showcase our executives - loglines, headshots, on-stage experiences, photos, etc., to aid in proactive keynote/event pitching efforts.
+ Help plan, provide guidance and, where appropriate, directly support specific industry activations for our executives, such as participation in trade associations, speakerships, industry recognition, and more.
**Executive Social Strategy and** **Advisory**
+ Drive the social media strategy and execution for Microsoft Advertising's CVP.
+ Create economies of scale with a centralized Microsoft Advertising executive social media strategy and ongoing advisory services, eventually scaling to a broader group of executives.
+ Partner with marketing, executives and executive communications to lead a social media amplification strategy aligned with key news moments.
+ Align across Microsoft on company news moments, social media best practices, and updates in the company's social media strategy and activation.

**Qualifications**
**Required/Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in speechwriting and storytelling, executive communications, external communications, or content development roles
+ OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in speechwriting and storytelling, executive communications, external communications, or content development roles
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 5+ years experience working in advertising technology (adtech) and marketing technology (martech).
+ 5 + years experience preparing executive level leaders for on stage presentations and/or press engagements.
**Additional or Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in speechwriting and storytelling, executive communications, external communications, or content development roles
+ OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years marketing or sales experience
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ Project Management experience
Product Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
