We are seeking a Director of Facilities Management to lead operations across our healthcare system in the Greater Pittsburgh area. As a strategic leader, you will ensure that our facilities, systems, and infrastructure support the delivery of high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing Engineering, Plant Operations, and Facilities Management, ensuring that all systems operate safely and efficiently. You will drive long-term facilities strategy, manage construction and renovation projects, and foster a culture of innovation and sustainability within our healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement long-term strategies for facilities management, aligning with the overall vision of the healthcare system.
- Facilities Operations: Provide leadership for all facilities functions, including Engineering, Plant Operations, and Grounds Maintenance, ensuring compliance with TJC, OSHA, and Life Safety standards.
- Sustainability & Innovation: Lead efforts in energy management and sustainability, identifying cost-saving opportunities while reducing the environmental impact of facilities operations.
- Construction & Renovation Management: Oversee construction and renovation projects, collaborating with architects and healthcare leadership, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Budget Oversight: Establish and manage departmental budgets and expenditures, driving cost-efficiency across all projects.
- Emergency Preparedness: Ensure readiness for emergencies, managing air, water, power, and other vital systems to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Patient Care Support: Ensure all facility operations support patient safety and comfort, contributing to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: 7+ years in facilities management with experience in healthcare, engineering, or business operations.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in managing HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of TJC, OSHA, and Life Safety standards.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage client relationships.
