About the Job
We're looking for a Director of Field Operations to join an amazing commercial construction team.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing teams in constructio with an emphasis on Concrete/Asphalt, or a related field, and have the ability to manage a team of 20+ individuals including 4-6 supervisors.
• The Director of Field Operations will also have a high level of organization, and tenacity to accomplish the operational goals of the company
• The individual hired to this position must have an engineering background and experience with operations in a company that manufactures, sells and/or installs automation solutions.
• This highly visible position reports directly to the company President.
• Oversee the operational workload of all 4-6 installation teams to ensure projects are executed on time and on budget.
• Supervise and support the operations department including the project coordination, installation, and warehouse teams.
• Takes an active role in employee hiring, training, mentoring, discipline, and termination when required to ensure that work is performed efficiently and effectively
• Adhere to and promote company polices and continually update operational procedures.
• Ensure that all projects meet the high-quality standards required by our company
• Supervise a culturally diverse workforce through coaching, counseling, and team building.
• Maintain an active Safety program ensure that team members, customers and others are always working in a safe manner.
• Execute all work tasks in compliance with all Company, Federal and State policy, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote and implement best practices to ensure all work tasks achieve high productivity and low costs
• Complete and oversee annual / periodic employee reviews.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers to achieve goals and objectives with success
• Must have the ability to negotiate effectively with trade partners
• Must possess or be able to learn in a short time frame enough of the technical side of modular storage business to effectively carry out the role of Operations Manager
• Must have experience using Acumatica or a similar ERP system and the ability to use the ERP system for work management, financial reporting, and performance tracking of the designated area. • Technically proficient within subject matter and experience of leading a team involved in field operations activities. • Some overnight travel may be required as needed.
• Must be capable of meeting US Government Security Clearance requirements
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Construction is required
• A minimum 3 years of experience in a people management
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in construction and project management software, Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite Required.
Compensation/Benefits
• Pay: $120,000-$150,000 per year
• Vehicle or vehicle allowance with a fuel card
• PTO
• up to 25% bonus annually
• Full benefit package
