Job Description
Renewance Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Services Director to lead and oversee our field services operations. The Field Services Director will be responsible for managing a team of Service Managers and Field Service Technicians providing commissioning; operations and maintenance; and decommissioning services for Battery Energy Storage Systems and Electric Vehicle Batteries. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven track record of managing large teams in the renewable energy, energy infrastructure, or energy technology sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the field services team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Manage and mentor Service Managers to ensure their teams provide exceptional commissioning, O&M and decommissioning services to our clients.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages continuous improvement and high performance.
Operational Excellence:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize field service operations, enhance productivity, and improve service quality.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for service delivery, customer satisfaction, and team performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards across all service activities.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Serve as the escalation point for complex service issues and work closely with Service Managers to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction with Renewance services.
- Implement customer feedback mechanisms to drive continuous service improvement and innovation.
Resource Planning & Management:
- Oversee resource allocation and scheduling to ensure optimal utilization of field service technicians.
- Collaborate with HR and Service Managers on recruitment, training, and development of service personnel to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Manage the budget for the field services department, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining service quality.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead initiatives for the adoption and integration of new technologies and tools to support field service operations.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the services team.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Prepare and present regular reports on service performance, customer satisfaction, and team achievements to senior management.
- Analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement in service delivery.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in service management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large teams in the renewable energy or technology sectors.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams. Ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve excellence.
- Operational Expertise: Strong understanding of field service operations, with a focus on optimizing service delivery and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, team members, and senior management.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision making.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with battery technology, energy storage systems, or renewable energy solutions is highly desirable.
Travel & Location
- The preferred location for this position is based at Renewance HQ in Illinois, or in Texas, Arizona, or Southern California, Remote candidates will be considered and are encouraged to apply
- Travel to customer project sites is expected as needed.
