About the Job
The NEUWAVE™ Microwave Ablation System is designed with the premise that each patient, and each lesion is unique. The system has a range of probes with distal energy control, multi-probe capabilities, and TISSU-LOC Technology along with advanced visualization and guidance software, enabling interventional radiologists to efficiently tailor ablation zones and confirm margins.
The Director of Global Strategic Marketing, NeuWave will be responsible for global strategy development, shaping the innovation pipeline, portfolio management, brand management, and global new product and new indication launch execution. Specifically, the Director is responsible for shaping the external environment by deploying deep customer and competitor insights, building relationships with clinical and non-clinical partners, using market insights and strategic/commercial capabilities to identify innovative solutions that drive growth and optimize shareholder value, and developing an impactful team. The Director will sit on the NeuWave leadership team and play a key role in setting the agenda for the business. As such, the Director will also be jointly accountable with the regions to reach financial and market share targets within specified budgets and timeframes and ensure applicable company compliance with all relevant country and regional requirements, company regulations, policies, and procedures.
Brand management responsibility will include platform strategy, segmentation, positioning, pricing strategies, claims, life cycle management, and business development strategies. The Director will participate in the development of NeuWave strategic plan and work closely with R&D, Regulatory, Government Affairs, QA, Communications, Interventional Oncology, HEMA, and Medical Affairs to gather customer insights and develop the innovation pipeline. The Director will also partner with Regional Marketing and Sales to ensure flawless global implementation of new product launches and global marketing strategies.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required and an Advanced Degree preferred (i.e. MBA, MS)
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant business experience is required
- 3 years in Marketing or related experience is required
- Experience in the healthcare industry is required with Medical Device Industry is strongly preferred
- Previous regional in line marketing and/or global strategic marketing experiences are preferred
- Business and financial competence, as well as a strategic mentality as evidenced by a track record of leading organizations to achieve results in challenging, complex business environments (not just growing markets).
- Experience with Marketing Excellence/Mastery, including Launch Excellence principles is preferred
- Experience in product development including needs assessment, portfolio management and product lifecycle management is preferred
- Prior experience in an agency environment with proven client management, branding and partnership experience with senior level clients in Fortune 500 companies is preferred
- Past people management experience preferred
- Experience managing and leading sophisticated projects is required
- Proven track record to work in a Global organization required
- Excellent cross functional and management influencing skills and ability to develop customer relationships required
- Experience with supply chain, global brand management, influencing a Medical Device sales force and new product launch preferred.
- Demonstrated experience developing and applying customer insight preferred
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $142,000 - $244,950
