We are seeking a dynamicand experienced Director of Marketing and Community Engagement to leadour Community Building and Engagement Department. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director of Marketing and CommunityEngagement oversees NWB’s external communications, marketing strategies, andcommunity engagement initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, theDirector plays a key role in promoting NWB programs and enhancing communityvisibility. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Management and Oversight:
- Lead the CBE department, managing staff,interns, and developing departmental goals aligned with organizationalobjectives
- Oversee key initiatives like Paint the Town™ andRake Up Boise™, ensuring sponsorships and volunteer support meet event costs
- Work with CBE department to providedirection for monthly committee meetings
- Manage CBE, marketing, and events budgets,tracking expenditures and coordinating adjustments with accounting
External Communications and Marketing:
- LeadNWB’s external communications and website
- ImplementNWB’s marketing strategies to increase program awareness
- Managecontent creation and marketing collateral, ensuring brand consistency
- Manageall media relations and marketing efforts for the organization as requested bythe COO
Event Management:
- Planand execute NWB events and manage event budgets for sustainability
- Evaluateprograms to improve services based on ongoing analysis
- Recruit,train, and oversee event volunteers
- Cultivate relationships with event sponsors tosecure funding and manage event budgets
Fundraising and Donor Management:
- Collaborate with theGrant Department to support event-related grants and fundraising efforts
- Oversee donorcommunications and relationship management using CRM platforms like Bloomerang
- Build and maintain strongrelationships with donors, community foundations, and corporate sponsors tosupport NWB’s fundraising goals
Community Engagement and Partnerships:
- Represent NWB incommunity groups, chambers, and forums to build partnerships and increasepublic awareness of NWB’s programs
- Plan opportunities for booths at relevant events and conferences
- Support the Resident Services Coordinator in fostering relationshipswith property management and NWB’s multi-family communities, ensuringsuccessful volunteer-led community-building activities and events that fosterresident leadership and empowerment

- Leadership and Event Management: Lead diverseteams and manage large events
- Marketing: Proficient in social media and impactevaluation
- TechnicalSkills: Advanced in Microsoft Office, WordPress, Adobe, InDesign, Photoshop,and Canva
- AnalyticalThinking: Use data to enhance marketing and donor activities
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’sdegree in a related field or equivalent experience in marketing,communications, outreach, leadership, or program development required
- Atleast three years of experience in communications, marketing, and/or eventmanagement, with supervisory experience and a proven ability to lead teams andmanage budgets
- Bilingualin English/Spanish strongly preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: Starting at $62,400.00 or DOE
