Personnel Resources is recruiting for a direct hire Mental Health & Substance Abuse Program Director in Dothan, AL.
Pay will start at $64,000 per year and you will work a Monday-Friday 8am-4pm schedule. They offer a great benefits package as well! Must maintain on-call availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed by the program.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, coordinate, and oversee daily operations of the program within the companies policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with the Alabama Department of Mental Health Substance Abuse Division.
- Supervise staff, ensuring client safety and development; oversee admissions, discharges, and treatment planning, collaborating with the clinical director on substance abuse and mental illness treatment.
- Develop and manage program budgets, including overseeing the resident finance program.
- Deliver therapeutic services to home consumers, collaborating with nursing staff to monitor medication programs.
- Utilize electronic health record systems to maintain accurate consumer records.
- Hold a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field, with completion of a relevant clinical practicum; alternatively, possess a Master's Degree in Psychiatric Nursing with a current ABN license.
- Have a minimum of two years of post-master's experience in a direct service role.
- Hold certification as a substance abuse counselor from a recognized institution such as the Alabama Association of Addiction Counselors, National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Association, or International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse, Inc.
- Willingness to obtain substance abuse counselor certification within two years if not already certified.
- Previous experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Flexibility for travel within the catchment area and/or statewide for program and training requirements.
- Preferred, but not required: Licensure as an LPC, LICSW, or LMFT in the State of Alabama.
