About the Job
This position supervises and empowers managers in the areas of staff recruiting, HR business partner functions and talent development and ensures alignment between these and other HR functions and the Clinic's employee engagement, DEI, leadership development and internal communications strategies.
As the Director of Organizational Effectiveness, you will be responsible for assessing and analyzing our current organizational processes and identifying areas for improvement. You will work closely with senior management to devise and implement innovative strategies that optimize employee performance, streamline workflows, and drive positive culture change.
Responsibilities
- Lead change management initiatives to drive positive culture change and increase employee engagement
- Leads the Clinic's Organizational Development, Organizational Effectiveness, and Leadership Development functions.
- Directs the work of the Clinic's staff Recruiting, HR Business Partner and Talent Development functions, ensuring alignment of various HR functions with the Clinic's employee engagement strategies and goals.
- Develops and leads internal communication initiatives including developing and sending emails, newsletters, podcasts and video content. Works closely with managers and other senior leaders to ensure effective communications throughout the organization.
- Develops a coaching approach to help leaders and their teams shape the desired organizational culture using our guiding principles and behaviors, as well as coaching that supports performance enablement and process improvement.
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to and experience in developing and implementing successful employee engagement initiatives and employee communication strategies.
- Superior interpersonal and writing skills. Ability to motivate, build trust, consult, and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group across staff, internal customers, and external entities. Success at achieving results through partnership and collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to lead subordinate managers through empowering and delegating leaders, providing guidance, development and support as needed.
- Acute attention to detail to ensure standardized and sustainable programs align with strategic initiatives.
- Accepts feedback and develops the most effective pathways forward so the organization can build optimal processes and foster the best talent possible.
- Ability to manage multiple functional areas, and across multiple locations.
- Ability to assess and monitor financial and operational performance, and use this to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to create and manage an operational plan, develop and manage budgets, and evaluate budget performance to achieve expectations.
- Ability to develop and articulate goals and leadership messages designed to promote organizational strategies.
- Ability to determine how current/future trends and legislation impact healthcare, e.g. access, patient/staff satisfaction, turnover; and to develop plans to adapt effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Ten years of progressive human resources management and experience including operations, budget, and developing and leading highly effective teams. Related experience in healthcare and director-level experience is preferred.
- Proven experience developing and leading highly effective teams.
- Extensive experience in developing and delivering leadership development content using adult learning principles and techniques.
- Experience in Organizational Development or Organizational Effectiveness.
- Experience leading and participating in efforts that apply organizational development methods and tools in healthcare, service, or other industries.
- Experience working collaboratively and effectively with senior and executive-level leadership.
- Experience in change management and leading organizational initiatives.
Pay Range:
$128,013.00 - $192,018.00

We offer a competitive Total Rewards Program. Eligibility for benefits is dependent on factors such as position type and FTE. Benefit-eligible employees qualify for benefits beginning on the first of the month following one month of employment. We also offer a 401k retirement plan, with employer contributions after your first year of employment. Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years. PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
