Patrick Ta is looking for a talented Director of Product Development to manage innovation and launch programs. This role will play an integral role in the development and execution of formula and packaging to deliver innovative and remarkable products across our brand portfolio. This role will report to the VP of Product Development. This position is onsite, located in West Hollywood, CA.

Patrick Ta Beauty was founded in 2019 by world-renowned celebrity makeup artist, Patrick Ta and one of his first-ever clients and beauty and skincare expert, Rima
Minasyan. The pair work together to create, perfect, and launch each product for both the makeup artist and the everyday makeup wearer. Patrick Ta Beauty's goal has always been to make their consumer feel great in their skin and give them versatile products that can create any look.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the VP of PD and marketing team to identify and develop NPL concepts that align with brand strategy and consumer needs.
- Manage formula and new product development ensuring projects are delivered on time.
- Manage and drive weekly internal and external PD meetings; coordinating agendas, reviewing submissions, tracking key approvals and milestone dates.
- Manage category specific shade analysis and work closely with VP to identify shade gaps, lineup selections, and strategic assortment curations; present learnings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Drive briefs and manage recurring formula submissions from labs and vendors
- Coordinate formula and shade approval processes between vendors and brand stakeholders.
- Attend on-site formula and shade approvals; including lab development, piloting, line trials and production start up; as needed.
- Manage product profiles and retailer specific PDP’s.
- Manage and coordinate regulatory and formula testing needs (including clinical, sensory, consumer testing) to support claim substantiation for new product launches, while ensuring all regulatory requirements are met for marketing and educational usage.
- Manage and coordinate registration requirements, in tandem with operations and regulatory teams.
- Manage packaging (primary and secondary) submissions for mechanical and artwork review and sign off by stakeholders.
- Work closely and meet regularly with cross functional teams including operations, regulatory, marketing, and package design to ensure programs are tracking to dates and milestones.
- Help to implement processes to ensure a high-quality, on-time and in-full delivery of all new product development initiatives.
- Supervise PD Coordinator efficiently.
- Streamline and coordinate participation in industry events, trade shows, summits, and vendor meetings that showcase innovation and newness.
- Stay abreast of competitive product activity and launches, and manage creation and maintenance of tracking matrices.

- within formula and package development of beauty products and have seen through several successful projects.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years experience in product development; with a strong focus on color and skin care
- Experience in package and artwork development
- Experience in safety testing and claims substantiation
- Excellent communication, organization, project and time management skills
- Effective collaboration skills
- Ability adhere to timelines and deliverable expectations
- Experience managing contract manufacturers and supplier working relationships
- Must be able to travel for on-site development, vendor meetings, and trade shows
