Director, Project Management
The Director, Project Management will oversee the project management process including governance, team leadership, tracking and monitoring, prioritization, and communication. The Director should have a proven track record of successful project delivery, with an ability to improve project management practices through substantial team leadership This leader will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing select cross-functional project management for enterprise-wide initiatives across the organization. The Director plays a critical role in executing the planning and project management process; to include leading periodic business reviews, developing board materials and executive presentations, and bringing structure, insights and clarity to complex problems, converting them into actionable opportunities. This individual communicates to the Chief Executive Officer on all projects.
Essential Functions & Core Activities
• Lead a team of project managers that partner with stakeholders from initial conception and planning sessions through successful execution
• Establish and implement standard procedures for business analysis, project management and execution
• Lead project management activities for strategic initiatives at the enterprise level to support cross functional project success
• Provide leadership, coordination, strategic direction and management of all associated processes and functions
• Ensure the strategic alignment of project and business requirements, while providing visible reporting on project status, tracking, financial implications, and overall performance
• Establish, and lead the ongoing development and implementation of best practices the purpose of achieving business goals and supporting the smooth running of projects undertaken by the organization
• Develop and implement processes to monitor, set appropriate milestones to track overall project performance, and establish best practices throughout the organization
Additional Responsibilities
• Guide cross-functional stakeholders to translate opportunities into defined business strategy and recommendations
• Analyze critical issues and provide actionable recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions
• Develop corporate scorecards and frameworks to monitor and measure progress against our strategic goals and objectives
• Develop key deliverables including board materials & executive presentations
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university required, and ten years related experience and/or training in Project Management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• MBA strongly desired
• CPA, PgMP, PfMP, Agile Scrum, LEAN Six Sigma, ITIL and/or OCM certifications a plus
• Demonstrated experience in leading global Project Management Office with experience leading an Enterprise PMO across various geographies
• High level of emotional intelligence, influencing, and communication skills to enable collaboration with a variety of key stakeholders including senior executives and the ability to influence others across different levels within the organization
• Strong business and financial acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, data analysis, critical thinking, business analysis and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
