Director of Project Management at Modea

***Looking to fill this role beginning January 2025***The Director of Project Management is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving Modea's project management practice to new heights
As a key member of the leadership team, you'll oversee the entire project management function, including team performance, portfolio delivery, and strategic direction.Your responsibilities will span:Setting standards and strategic direction for the project management practiceExecutive account management and client relationship developmentPortfolio oversight and hands-on management of critical projectsTeam development, coaching, and performance managementBudget management and financial performance of the project management departmentIn this role, you'll leverage data-driven insights and extensive experience to tackle complex challenges, advise team members, and drive successful outcomes

Directly manage all members of the project management team, conducting regular 1:1s and providing comprehensive team support.Organizational Leadership: Serve as a key member of the leadership team, actively participating in strategic decision-making and company direction.Cultural Stewardship: Champion and embody our core values, mission, and vision throughout the organization.Portfolio Management: Oversee the health and delivery of Modea's Delivery Portfolio, consisting of strategic, high-priority, complex digital product development engagements.Executive Account Management: Develop and maintain executive-level client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, identifying growth opportunities, and representing the company at the highest levels.Financial Management: Own and manage the project management department's budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and financial performance.Continuous Improvement: Drive best practices, standards, and continuous improvement in project portfolio management (PPM) processes and methodologies.Team Development: Direct, manage, coach, and mentor a high-performing team of project managers, including hiring, performance evaluations, and accountability.Strategic Execution: Drive the implementation of strategic initiatives across the project management function and beyond.Critical Competencies:Strategic Leadership: Ability to set a compelling vision, inspire and motivate teams, and drive transformational results in a fast-paced environment.Executive Presence: Commands respect and inspires confidence at all levels, from team members to C-suite clients and fellow executives

Our team has the ability to work either from home or in the office
Our office provides an indoor space with moderate temperatures and noise levels
This position can be located either at the Blacksburg, VA office or Nashville, TN office. Physical Demands:Must be able to remain in a stationary position during the duration of the workday
