SCOPE
The Director of Real Estate Develop...Minimum Educational Requirements, Licenses, Skills, Abilities, Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in Real Estate Development, Urban Planning, Architecture, Business Administration, or similar field; and 5 - 8 years of related experience in real estate development or urban planning. Knowledge of statistics and real estate finance. Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Microsoft Excel, and database creation and maintenance.
Organized with knowledge and skills in housing and Project Management. Self-motivated and able to perform efficiently and effectively with little or no supervision. Excellent written and analytical skills. Ability to maneuver between various computer office programs and office equipment.
Ability to meet the public and interact with residents and Authority personnel in a positive and effective manner. Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with others, deal tactfully with the public, handle confidential work with discretion and follow complex oral and written instructions. Possess strong human relations skills.
Candidates should have knowledge of fair housing and civil rights issues or have the ability to obtain training in those areas within 6 months of employment.
Valid Oklahoma Driver License with a satisfactory driving record.
PHYSICAL:
Ability to travel to potential development sites, construction job sites for meetings and inspections. Ability to read and prepare written reports, maps, and computer products. Ability to write reports, maintain logs, and enter data in the computer. Ability to communicate clearly with others by telephone and in person. Ability to sit for prolonged time periods. All physical requirements are evaluated based on the ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation under the ADA.
Working Conditions
Working conditions are stressful at times due to the volume of workload. Must be able to work independently and manage workload.
