Who You Are:
You are a healthcare professional ready to direct operations and pave the way for our high level of senior care. This role directs the operation of the community Resident Services Department focusing on resident care, regulatory compliance, staff management, cost containment, and marketing Memory Care / Assisted Living program services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Supervise Memory Care and/or Assisted Living programs in accordance with community policies and procedures and applicable state regulations.
· Direct the hiring and assignment of duties of licensed and non-licensed staff.
· Evaluate department staff work performance.
· Direct continuing education in-service program for department and facility staff.
· Evaluate resident requirements prior to and upon admission to determine level of care needed.
· Continuously evaluate residents’ needs on an ongoing basis.
· Coordinate care program with resident’s physicians, consultants, and other facility departments to ensure resident assistance needs are met.
· Periodically visit residents to ensure maximum care and to assess need for level of assistance changes.
· Ensure availability of supplies and equipment related to Resident Assistance program.
· Supervise orientation of Resident Service Department staff.
· Review all accident and incident reports filed by nursing personnel and report them to administrator.
· Work with management maintaining PRD and budget cost containment with regard to wages.
· Work closely with Executive Director regarding community policies, personnel issues, resident issues, community relationships, and during inspections.
· Oversee the medication room, tracking and inventory of medication, and ordering / destroying medication as needed.
· If needed, work the floor as a licensed nurse or resident assistant.
· Participate in recruiting, interviewing, training, coaching, appreciating, and disciplining subordinates to deliver exceptional quality of life programs.

Job Requirements:
· Must possess an upbeat, positive, flexible, and enthusiastic personality and be congenial with fellow employees, residents, and the public at large.
· Must be an honest and dependable individual.
· Must be willing to be active during entire work shift.
· Previous experience in a supervisory position (geriatrics preferred).
· Excellent supervisory and communication skills.
· Must be a mature individual. Must possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
· Must have strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
· Must be detail and team work oriented.
· Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in standard English and use own judgment and initiative in daily activities.
· Must be drug-free and submit to urinalysis drug screening upon hire and routinely.
· Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations.
· The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Koelsch Communities.
Licenses, Certifications, & Education Required:
· Current license to practice professional nursing in residing state.
· Must possess a current CPR / First Aid certificate and update as needed.
· If RN in WA, delegation certification required.
· Passed an approved food handler’s or ServSafe course as required by County, State and/or Community policy.
Supervisory Requirements:
· This role directly oversees the Resident Services Department and reports directly to the Executive Director and indirectly to the Regional Director of Nursing.
Uniform and Appearance Requirements:
· Professional business wear abiding by the Community dress code policy. Must abide by the Community dress code policy.
Position Equipment:
· This role is provided a cell phone and laptop for work use.
· Carry / wear earpiece and handheld radio and respond appropriately to calls as needed.
Work Location and Travel Requirements:
· This role is a 100% on-site role with travel required on an as-needed basis.
