About the Job
We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our leadership team as Director of Outlets. This individual will be a proactive solution seeker, they lead by example, do not settle for the normal, and continuously encourage and engage their team members. They will provide the strategic leadership required to achieve the fiduciary and quality goals of the hotel/resort’s restaurant operations. The Director will ensure the effective and efficient operation of all facets of the resort restaurants, while improving on the current model and be responsible for managing in a manner consistent with the mission, operating philosophy, standards, and values of Pyramid Global.
Your role:
- Attending daily Department Head meetings. Relay information about upcoming events to staff under his/her supervision. Relay company policy and procedures to staff under his/her supervision.
- Supply information about department capabilities and programs to other departments and clients or potential clients.
- Respond to the needs and requests of guests and potential guests.
- Ensure that implementation and maintenance of standards of food, beverage, and service quality are commensurate with a first-class operation.
- Implement effective cost controls for food, beverage, and labor.
- Must be able to understand, read, and explain profit & loss statements, labor reports, and cost reductions, including labor.
- Develop workable systems for inventory, receiving, and product utilization (product cost).
- Respond to any reasonable task assigned by the Hotel Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
- Assist in the Food and Beverage outlets in whatever capacity is needed.
- Prepare a marketing plan by developing strategies to increase market share for both restaurants and bars.
- Ensures that each department is run following the food and beverage standards of operations.
- Maintains control of food, beverage, and supply costs and inventory by adhering to standards for purchasing and inventory control.
- Monitors training and follow-up to ensure that all employees receive training on an ongoing basis. Ensures that management employees receive training.
- Develop standards of productivity for food & beverage personnel.
- Responsible for implementing the company-wide systems in all Outlets.
- Create appealing, high-quality, marketable cycle menus and special event menus.
- Create a comfortable atmosphere to encourage committed and loyal employees.
- Oversee hiring and training programs for food and beverage personnel.
- Help Develop management skills for the Food & Beverage Supervisor.
- Oversee bi-weekly payroll for all the outlets.
- Responsible for corrective action regarding unsatisfactory performance.
- A bachelor’s degree in hospitality is a plus.
- A minimum of 3- 5 years experience is required in Food & Beverage management at a department head level in Restaurants & Bars.
- Experience in a full-service hotel is required.
Please be advised, that we are a large full-service hotel, and as such this position requires extended periods on your feet with frequent long walks around the internal and external areas of the hotel along with considerable physical activity continuously, up to and including entire shifts.
