About the Job
A global company is seeking a Director of SEC Reporting to join their team.
Responsibilities:
The Director of SEC Reporting will be responsible for:
- Lead the preparation of the quarterly and annual filings with SEC.
- Lead drafting sessions and develop appropriate disclosures through industry and peer benchmarking during quarterly and annual filings.
- Coordinate and maintain an external reporting calendar.
- Support the preparation of materials for audit committee and disclosure committee meetings.
- Present at Disclosure Committee meetings and/or Audit Committee meetings, as appropriate.
- Coordinate communications with external auditors on financial statements to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on disclosures and reporting issues.
- Participate in technical accounting research and preparation of technical accounting memos.
- Monitor and assess accounting policy /SEC reporting changes and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or related field or combination of relevant education experience and training.
- Certified Public Accountant designation required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory capacity managing people and projects.
- Minimum of 6-10 years' experience in finance or accounting with a focus on SEC reporting and/or accounting policy.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management.
