Director of SEC Reporting - Tandym

A global company is seeking a Director of SEC Reporting to join their team.

Responsibilities:

The Director of SEC Reporting will be responsible for:

• Lead the preparation of the quarterly and annual filings with SEC.
• Lead drafting sessions and develop appropriate disclosures through industry and peer benchmarking during quarterly and annual filings.
• Coordinate and maintain an external reporting calendar.
• Support the preparation of materials for audit committee and disclosure committee meetings.
• Present at Disclosure Committee meetings and/or Audit Committee meetings, as appropriate.
• Coordinate communications with external auditors on financial statements to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on disclosures and reporting issues.
• Participate in technical accounting research and preparation of technical accounting memos.
• Monitor and assess accounting policy /SEC reporting changes and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or related field or combination of relevant education experience and training.
• Certified Public Accountant designation required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory capacity managing people and projects.
• Minimum of 6-10 years' experience in finance or accounting with a focus on SEC reporting and/or accounting policy.
