Our client, a member-owned organization devoted to providing leadership, business coaching, and training to residential service companies (plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical) across the U.S. and Canada is seeking a Director of Sales to join their Senior Leadership Team in the Twin Cities. As the Director of Sales, you will spearhead the future of our client’s membership growth strategy, expanding membership through strategic sales planning, team leadership, and a tenacious pursuit of success. You will craft and execute comprehensive sales plans, establish ambitious targets, refine sales processes, and instill a culture of accountability within the team. Key Tasks:
- Responsible for development and execution of sales strategic plan and budget.
- Develop and drive annual sales budget – P&L responsibility
- Identify key markets and emerging trends.
- Collaborate with marketing team on sales marketing strategies and tactics.
- Maintain and grow sales pipeline.
- Track and analyze sales metrics.
- Develop and influence the professional growth of sales staff.
- Support direct reports with consistent weekly 1:1 meetings and timely performance reviews.
- Ensure sales staff is aligned and operates within the company’s Guiding Principles.
- Demonstrate strong organizational follow-through and dependability.
- Oversees development of sales initiatives and projects.
- Continually evaluate systems and processes, identify and implement process improvements
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years in a management role with budgeting responsibility
- Experience budgeting and forecasting
- Proven excellence in sales leadership
- Experience in a service environment preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Travel Requirements:
- Some travel required for national events, training & staff development. Up to 15%
