There is a small financial institution based out of Malvern, PA, that is looking for someone to fill a director position on their small Cybersecurity team
This is an incredibly dynamic team that values innovation, collaboration, and the highest standards of security
They’re looking to hire a Full-Time, Permanent Director local to the Greater Philadelphia area.
The right person for the Director of Security position will need to have a strong background across the cybersecurity space and will ideally have experience working within financial institutions
This candidate will be expected to demonstrate technical leadership by actively engaging in hands-on engineering and cyber security program development
They should be adept at formulating and driving high level strategic initiatives, while also being willing to dive into the details and tackle challenges directly
The Director of Security will also oversee and manage budgeting, risk assessments, and program hardening
They will be responsible for monitoring industry trends and threat intelligence, and for adapting team goals and objectives to address emerging security challenges
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Security generalist who is looking for a small team to collaborate with and manage within a hot industry!Required Skills & ExperienceMinimum 5 years in Security Engineering/Architecture Strong Management experience Knowledge around Budgeting, Risk Assessments, and High-Level Strategy Background in Network and/or Systems Engineering Knowledge utilizing SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm) Excellent problem-solving skills
Desired Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience on small team environments Automation experience is a huge plus Hands-on approach to leadership

Tech Breakdown Lead the design and implementation of security solutions Running risk assessments, budgeting, program hardening, and high-level strategy Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best security practices
Daily Responsibilities 75% Management 25% Hands-On
