Director of Social Media and Multimedia Production
Alliance Defending Freedom is looking for a highly skilled Director of Social Media and Multimedia Production to join us in our Lansdowne, VA office. As the Director of Social Media and Multimedia Productions, you are a vital part of the Communications Team. In this role, you will report to the SVP of Communications and are responsible for leading a team of social media professionals (manager, writer) and multimedia creatives (videography, graphic design, photography).
Your Essential Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
- Oversee and lead the team of in-house and freelance resources for the creation of digital, multimedia content
- Strategize, direct, supervise, and implement social media content, creative direction, and delivery strategies, working in concert with the Marketing Team
- Ensure that projects are completed with excellence, on time, within budget, and consistent with ADF brand and messaging
- Ensure that all efforts and content are aligned with and/or complimentary to the strategic and communications objectives of the ministry
- Foster and maintain cross-team relationships to ensure strong communication, facilitate positive rapport, and meet ministry needs
- Direct and supervise the creative process and execution of multimedia projects, including collaborating with multiple teams to further ADF objectives
- Provide creative direction for social media and digital creative assets to maximize engagement and meet contemporary multimedia standards (to generate stylistically relevant materials)
- Ensure content consistently and positively represents the ADF brand
- Act as the liaison for the multimedia team to report on current projects, propose creative opportunities, and align bandwidth and needs in strategic consultation with other teams
- Ensure that the social media and multimedia teams are mobilized to respond rapidly to news developments, campaign and social media content needs, and constituent relations initiatives
As a Team Leader, you will:
- Act as a servant leader by training, encouraging, coaching, and developing your Team Members
- Demonstrate and model personal spiritual discipline and assist in the development of a collaborative team environment
- Foster a spirit of trust, innovation, and teamwork on your team
- Meet regularly with your Team Members to discuss their progress and complete performance review discussions
- Approve PTO requests, timecards, and expense reports.

- Knowledge of industry best practices for marketing visual content to optimize digital content distribution

- Successfully collaborate with multiple teams with diverse talents to further objectives
- Lead strategically, cast creative vision, and motivate others to accomplish objectives through servant leadership
- Create multimedia content and assist in the development of projects from beginning to end
- Meet deadlines and oversee multiple ongoing projects
- Be organized and efficient in managing time, projects, people, and priorities
- Relate well to people from diverse backgrounds and skill sets
- Write with excellence by using correct English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary
- Understand office practices, procedures, equipment, and software
- Travel approximately 10-20%
Education and/or experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising or equivalent related experience
- 7+ years of communications, marketing, or advertising experience is required
- 7+ years of project management experience is preferred
- Writing/editing/proofreading experience required
- Project Manager Professional or Agile SCRUM credentials a plus, but not required
- Experience with Wrike (or other project management software) a plus
