About the Job
The Director of Substance Abuse Counseling will perform a full range of assignments related to the field of mental health support services, with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience. The Director of Substance Abuse Counseling will oversee and supervise the clinical staff and help with providing support for clients with drug addiction and alcoholism. The Clinical Director will have knowledge of and the ability to comply with all applicable laws and regulations as well as knowledge of the program requirements. The Clinical Director is expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide clinical oversight and leadership to ensure the delivery of effective and compassionate addiction treatment services.
- Program Development: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement innovative and evidence-based treatment programs that meet the unique needs of our clients.
- Staff Supervision: Provide supervision and support to clinical staff, including counselors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance measures to ensure adherence to clinical standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Training and Development: Facilitate ongoing training and professional development opportunities for clinical staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in addiction treatment.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, external agencies, and community partners to enhance the overall continuum of care and support services.
- Client Advocacy: Advocate for the well-being of clients, ensuring their needs are met through comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., counseling, social work, psychology).
- Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in addiction treatment, with a proven track record of leadership and program development.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction treatment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to addiction treatment.
- Commitment to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct.
- Certified Clinical Supervisor certificate

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
