What are we looking for?
The Director, Technical Solutions is in charge of finding and introducing technical solutions to specific business challenges and opportunities clients face. You will also oversee all activities that lead to the successful implementation of such solutions. As a result, the position plays a central role in clients' efforts to introduce and successfully implement new technology solutions. The Director, Technical Solutions bridges the gap between concept and implementation by acting as a channel between the enterprise needs (e.g. the client) and the technical architecture of solutions. In other words, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and the implementation of technology solutions.
In addition to having significant experience with and good knowledge of enterprise eCommerce software and tech trends, you also have to be a skilled business manager, often interfacing with clients’ executive leadership and needing to be able to understand, define and clearly communicate business goals in order to get stakeholders on board.
The position’s scope encompasses the entire solution, meticulously considering integration with existing systems, scalability, and long-term maintainability. You must anticipate future technological advancements and their potential impact on solutions, and guide the engagement roadmap, ensuring the architecture remains adaptable and future-proof, constantly preparing for unforeseen challenges and opportunities as clients grow and the industry evolves.
Strategic thinking, communication skills, and ability to align technology with business goals will be invaluable assets in this role in order to bridge the gap between technical complexities and stakeholder comprehension. The Director, Technical Solutions articulates solution value propositions and strategic alignment, fostering cross-functional collaboration to reach organizational (e.g. client) goals.
As the Director, Technical Solutions, you will also be the senior functional leader for UI and BE development and QA team members for client engagements, driving innovation, quality, and technical excellence. As such, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology strategy, mentoring team members, and ensuring that our engineering practices meet the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement:
- Participate in strategic discussions and guiding clients with technical expertise. Proactive in research and development of features, tools, and best practices to benefit client businesses.
- Serve as the most senior technical leader in client engagements, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their goals, providing guidance and expertise to deliver exceptional digital products.
- Ensure client satisfaction by overseeing the successful delivery of technical solutions on time and within scope.
- Support and participate in sales opportunities, promoting Anatta’s technical solutions to prospective clients
- Perform regular technical audits for client sites and make sound recommendations for improvement. Audits include client's tech stack, site performance, SEO health, and security.
- Technical Strategy & Execution:
- Define and implement the engineering roadmap, aligning it with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating relevant advancements into the company’s offerings.
- Oversee the design and architecture of complex systems, ensuring they meet performance, security, and scalability requirements for the client.
- Quality Assurance:
- Drive the implementation of robust testing and quality assurance processes, ensuring the delivery of bug-free, reliable products.
- Collaborate with QA teams to develop automated testing strategies and continuous integration pipelines.
- Leadership & Management:
- Directly lead and mentor a team of UI Architects and a QA Lead, and indirectly oversee and mentor UI and BE developers and QA analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance.
- Manage the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training processes for new team members.
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive technical excellence and support the company’s growth objectives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in eCommerce, DTC brands, or related industries.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with a track record of successful client engagements.
- Proven experience in managing and scaling engineering teams.
- Strong background in software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with modern web development frameworks, languages, and tools.

Physical demands requirements
Common office/desk environment that involves long periods of time at a stationary desk with extensive computer work that requires repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
The annual salary range of $180,000.00 - $220,000.00 USD is commensurate to several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to years of experience, skill set / qualifications, and geographical work location considering differences in cost of living, therefore, actual base pay offered may vary.
