Job Summary
Disassemble instruments and valves into constituent parts and subassemblies using a variety of hand-tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble instruments and valves using a variety of practices and processes that ensures the highest yield of constituent parts and subassemblies.
- Properly identifyparts and subassemblies usingphotos, PMI testing (Niton), OEM instruction manuals and acquired knowledge and experience.
- Properly tag parts and subassemblies and maintainaccurate tag status, quantity, and location.
- Providestimely feedback to Supervisor regarding parts shortages and the prospects of yielding conforming parts.
- Support stock checks by disassembling assemblies & staging specific parts for subsequent review by others.
- Provide training and guidance to junior teardown personnel.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
- Able to:
- Read and interpret OEM instruction manuals
- Lift 50 lbs. unaided
- Walk & stand for approximately 8 hours per day in a climate controlled environment.
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years of applicable experience
- Computer proficiency
