Discovery Early College High School seeks student interns for Bits and Bytes Internship
2024-25. Students who have an interest in learning and working in an Information Technology (IT)
Support Environment and enjoy solving IT support issues, are encouraged to apply. Student
interns will work under close supervision of school staff, with no unmonitored time with other
minors.
Description: Computer Support Intern's primary responsibility is to provide technical support to
an organization’s employees and customers. Their duties and responsibilities typically include
the following:
- Paying close attention to the user’s description of their computer problem and askingquestions to identify the problem and determine how to solve it
- Training users on how to use new hardware or software
- Diagnosing and resolving laptop and desktop issues
- Documenting issues and resolutions correctly
- Troubleshooting network problems and individual user hardware or software problems
- Setting up or repairing computer hardware and other associated devices such as printersand scanners
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Communication skills
- Listening skills
- Customer service skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Analytical skills
- Successful Completion of 9th Grade Requirements
Interns agree to the following conditions:
1. Internship in STEAM
2. Students agree to work 34 hours in total at $15/ hour
3. Maintain great attendance and attend all classes
