Responsibilities/Job Description
• The Steward/Dishwasher supports our culinary and service team through the effective and efficient operation of our dish washing needs.
• Operate and maintain the dishwashing station so that clean supplies are readily available for service.
• Wash pots, pans, utensils, and other equipment and return to designated locations.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant's dining room, kitchen, and restrooms.
• Help collect and dispose of garbage, recyclables, and compost. Maintain cleanliness of garbage area and rinse garbage cans.
• Respond to any major spills or other cleaning crises.
• Sweeping and mopping floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.
• Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
• The Steward/Dishwasher must have a positive attitude, commitment to excellence, and a desire to learn.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs without assistance.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and holidays
• Be able to stand or walk for an extended period of time. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending and twisting.
