Are you ready to see beloved Disney characters wearing your designs? If selected to join the Costume Design team, you will report to the Manager of Costume Design and Development.
This is a full-time 6-month internship (dates are January 11th, 2025, through June 7th, 2025 ).
What You Will Do
As an intern, you will be key in supporting Costume Designers and Costume Development Managers through various stages of the project cycle. Specifically, you will:
+ Conduct design research, including historical references, fabric trends, and styles, to advise and encourage the design process
+ Illustrate detailed textile artwork, concept sketches, and repeat patterns, contributing to the visual and functional aspects of costume design
+ Participate in critical meetings, costume fittings, and rehearsals to take detailed notes, observe design implementation, and relay important information to the team
Required Qualifications & Skill
+ Shown experience with Photoshop and Illustrator
+ Strong digital literacy and willingness to learn new programs
+ Proven experience producing technical illustrations and artistic renderings to be shared with clients and vendors
+ Strong verbal / written communication skills

Education
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
+ Currently enrolled as a Senior, recent graduate, or graduate student
+ Major or previous coursework in Fashion Design, Costume Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, Print Design or related field
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the requirements below
+ Be at least 18 years of age
+ Possess unrestricted work authorization
+ Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Program
+ Be compliant with The Disney Look (http://disneycasting.net/downloads/wdpr/Disney_Look_Book.pdf) appearance guidelines
+ Available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week)
+ Able to provide own housing in the Orlando, FL area and have reliable transportation to/from work (We provide limited housing opportunities for Florida-based Professional Interns through American Campus Communities; for more information, click here)
