You will monitor and analyze real-time market data and drive business and customer profitability based on your ability to buy/sell and optimize margins for your customers and Harms Oil. As our team grows, you may have the opportunity for leadership roles in our Operations team.
You will work with customers to understand their supply needs of petroleum products and define the best profitable margins for the customer and Harms Oil. Chasing the best possible margin requires an analytical view of supplier inventory, market pricing, forecasting, and balancing the customer needs with the availability of personnel and equipment.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Utilize market information, internal systems, and inventory levels to optimize pricing for customers based on location and availability.
- Analyze the market and determine opportunities to chase that provide the best margins and highest level of profitability.
- Plan and coordinate the pick-up and delivery of petroleum products to customer locations through company drivers and equipment.
- Create and provide price quotes as the first point of contact for customers across one or more regions.
- Maximize efficiency and profitability through the analysis of product, personnel, and equipment.
- Communicate pricing daily to gas stations and resellers.
- Responsible for the clear and concise communication of the schedule, priorities, changes, etc. to drivers across assigned region(s).
- Ensure complete satisfaction through teamwork and coordination of activities impacting customers.
- Maintain and update software including customer information and pricing.
- Coordinate the resolution of issues with various departments and customers to ensure accurate and timely records and payments.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent with strong preference to individuals with a Bachelor's Degree in business, logistics, or a related field or have a proven track record of equivalent experience.
- Three or more years of relevant experience including dispatch, scheduling, commodity trading, or logistics.
- Demonstrated experience solving complex problems with short turn-around times.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel and other Office tools with the ability to learn additional tools.
