2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm

As the Dispatch Specialist, you will be responsible for direct, effective and friendly communication with our drivers, and communicating issues both internally and externally. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Facilitate professional communication with our drivers over the phone and On-Board Computer System (OBCS)
- Perform essential AS-400 functions to maintain our computer systems
- Communicate issues with our internal and external customers
- Complete thorough documentation of all issues involving drivers and loads
- Perform regular, thorough fleet scans to proactively catch and correct issues
- Ensure a high level of on-time service is maintained
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Knowledge of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and U.S. and Canadian geography
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and AS-400
- The ability to type 25 words per minute
It’d be great if you also have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Transportation and call center/customer service experience
- Solid attention to detail and follow-up skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems
- The motivation to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a willingness to work collaboratively and get along with diverse personalities
- Solid organizational, project and time management skills with the ability to multitask and manage customer expectations
