Requirements
- Secret Clearance required
- 2+ years of experience using the ITSM or Helix ITSM system to document Tier 2 helpdesk issues
- CompTIA Security + (Can be obtained during internship)
- 2+ years’ experience with at least 1 of the following: Unix OS (Solaris 11), RedHat Certified Systems Administrator, Microsoft Certifications (Server 2008/2012, Active Directory, Configuring Windows 7/10)
- Ability to work 2nd shift (~ 3pm to11pm EST)
Desired Skills
- 2+ years’ experience analyzing and providing GCCS-M, NAOC2, C2PC, and JDOCS system engineering services to include troubleshooting and documentation of issues.
- One of the following: Unix OS (Solaris 11), RedHat Certified Systems Administrator, Microsoft Certifications (Server 2008/2012, Active Directory, Configuring Windows 7/10)
- Experience working with one of the following systems: GCCS-M, JADOCS, MFOM, TBMCS, NTCSS, MTC2, and/or LMMT USAF
Description
Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic and Scientific Research Corporation (SRC) are teaming together to provide systems engineering, software engineering, logistics, technical, and management support services to multiple program sponsors for 50+ Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber Defense, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C6ISR) systems.
- Supports team by working 2nd shift (~ 3pm to 11pm)
- Provides system design support, operational support, full life cycle support, and repeated examination of support requirements throughout the service life the systems
- Provides ship's force with system familiarity training, to include references for installing software, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting the GCCS-M, JADOCS, MFOM, TBMCS, NTCSS, MTC2, and LMMT USAF systems during post-installation procedures and turnover schedule
- Manages and provides system engineering services for GCCS-M, JADOCS, MFOM, TBMCS, NTCSS, MTC2, and LMMT USAF implementation, maintenance, and site support, including installation and system upgrade support for the systems
- Conducts system audits and pre-deployment system checkouts of GCCS-M, JADOCS, MFOM, TBMCS, NTCSS, MTC2, and LMMT USAF in support of a readiness posture, resolving any system discrepancies
- Provides troubleshooting assistance, creates trouble tickets in required system(s), and reaches out to third parties to work cohesively throughout the scope of any issues
