Job Location: 1905 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, WI 54401
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with overtime as needed to meet the demands of the deparment
Job Summary:
Performs in-house document scanning and indexing to ensure accuracy, timeliness, quality and easy retrieval of documents and information by others. The position will include the reviewing, preparing, scanning & indexing of documents into the document imaging system, performing quality assurance, linking scanned documents to the core banking system, and handling archival and destruction of hard copy documents and files. Also assists in the creation and implementation of new processes, procedures, and user training related to the document imaging system.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily execution of document imaging with the highest level of consistency, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Review and prepare documents for digital scanning according to established procedures.
- Input (scan) documents and index information into the document imaging system.
- Provide quality assurance by reviewing documents and indexing values for accuracy, legibility, and other key considerations.
- Review and screen documents submitted by other staff.
- Maintain batches of scanned documents as required by policies and procedure.
- Serve as resource for internal users with basic questions and issues.
- Contribute to the maintenance of process and workflow documentation, standards, policies and procedures.
- As requested, provide ad hoc reports on document imaging activities and issues.
- Work with external resources to resolve technical and operational issues
- Support other team members in meeting department goals and deadlines.
Desirable education, experience and skills:
- Minimum of a high school education with at least one year of office work experience. Must have good attention to detail and be well organized in workflow and production.
- Should have a good working knowledge of scanning hardware and software or the ability to learn quickly.
- Able to deal with the day to day pressures associated with servicing customers in the financial service industry.
- Work hours are normal business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Some overtime is may be needed for specific projects.
