About the Job
The Documentation Analyst for Data Enablement will be responsible for reviewing, locating, and updating existing documentation related to data platforms, training, processes, and tools within the organization. This role is key in ensuring that all data-related documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to users. The specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams, including leadership, data engineers, analysts, and business intelligence professionals, to ensure that all content aligns with current data enablement initiatives and best practices.

- Content Review and Updating:
- Conduct a thorough review of existing documentation related to data enablement, including technical manuals, process guides, user guides, and best practice documents.
- Locate and catalog existing documentation across platforms to identify outdated or incomplete content.
- Update and revise documentation to reflect current tools, processes, and integrations, ensuring consistency and clarity.
- Content Creation and Organization:
- Where necessary, create new documentation that fills gaps in the current content library, focusing on topics such as data connections, data workflows, and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Databricks, etc.).
- Develop templates and standardized documentation formats to ensure uniformity across all content types.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and the business intelligence team to gather insights and ensure that updated documentation reflects current technical practices.
- Collaborate with the training team to align documentation with training materials, ensuring that users have comprehensive guides that complement their learning experiences.
- Organize and maintain a centralized repository of all documentation, making it easily accessible to internal stakeholders.
- Implement version control and regular audit processes to ensure that documentation remains current and relevant.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and technically accurate.
- Gather feedback from end users and stakeholders on the usefulness and clarity of the documentation, making adjustments where necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical writing, documentation management, or a similar role within a data-driven or IT environment.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI and platforms like Databricks.
- Strong understanding of data concepts, including data connections, ETL processes, and data integration.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for a variety of audiences.
- Proficient in using documentation tools and platforms (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, MS Office Suite, etc.).
- Experience working in a data enablement or business intelligence environment.
- Experience with content management systems and version control.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and data infrastructure.
