A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Domestic Violence Supervisor

Provides direct client services and support for the agency's domestic violence programs in a manner that ensures safety planning, needs assessments, and intervention for victims of domestic violence. Ensure services are provided holistically, culturally, and linguistically sensitively, promoting the individual's dignity, respect, safety, and maximum optimal functioning.

The Consejo Domestic Violence Supervisor will coordinate with a variety of locations to offer additional access for our clients to our high-quality, integrated behavioral healthcare and domestic violence services.

The Domestic Violence Supervisor will oversee the administrative day-to-day operations, including grant management, for all domestic violence contracts and services, working closely with the Domestic Violence Manager.

• Conduct behavioral health screening for domestic violence clients in need of behavioral health services.
• Conduct community outreach, community presentations, participate in community and health fairs
• Conduct outreach efforts via radio programs, social media, Zoom, flyers, etc.
• Outreach and collaboration provide Latinx survivors with homeless programs, nursing homes, adult family homes, social service agencies, schools, primary care clinics, and hospitals.
• Will maintain a caseload determined by the Domestic Violence Manager.
• Assess crises and provide crisis interventions when necessary.
• Lead or co-lead domestic violence groups as needed.
• Establish liaisons to access community services, e.g., medical care, housing, food, etc.
• Assist with available resources, education, outreach about the legal rights of both citizens and non-citizens and information in the non-citizens' community as needed.
• Provide family and legal advocacy and support for others of significant importance to the client groups.
• Work directly with first responders to help them understand the background and culture of Latinx immigrants from various Latin American countries.
• Conduct public awareness activities for the greater Seattle community and Latinx survivors.
• Provide Community Advocacy Services to domestic violence survivors and their children
• Provide Individual support, including Crisis services, safety planning, and individual and group support
• Make appropriate referrals for legal services, shelter services, food banks, rental assistance, English classes, Adult Basic Education, child care services, Crime Victim Compensation, the Address Confidentiality Program, Immigration assistance, and other services as may be needed by clients.
• Complete all required documentation to be 100% file compliant.
• Attend mandatory clinical in-services/training, supervision, and regularly scheduled department/agency meetings.
• Prepare billings related to each of the contracts monthly.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual contract-related reports.
• Read and summarize contracts from a variety of funders.
• Research, analyze, and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Monitor grant expenditures and provide reports to directors and program managers as needed.
• Provide information to directors and program managers to prepare them for grant renewal processes.
• Manage program data as needed for reports.
• Maintain records of all payments, manage all change requests, perform research on all grant issues, and prepare monthly records for all grant-related activities
• Work closely with the Grants Manager to monitor program budgets and expenditures, ensure an effective program, and provide Grant planning and coordination, research, and writing.
• Complete other projects as determined by the DV Program Manager
• Fulfill other duties as may be To meet agency operations needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree with significant specialization in social, behavioral, or human services or human-related fields or AA plus two year's experience
• Capacity to work well with children, youth, families, adults and older adults
• LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.
• Years of domestic violence work professional experience will be counted toward educational requirements
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing both English and Spanish.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Access to reliable transportation, a valid Washington State Driver's license, and car insurance are required.
• Ability to work, communicate, and navigate with Law enforcement and the criminal justice system

WORK SCHEDULE

This Domestic Violence Supervisor works a typical schedule of 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday.

SALARY

$ 67,724.80 - $ 72,800 a year depending on experience, qualifications and credentials.
