Founded in 1968 to meet the post-secondary and continuing education needs of Cecil County residents, Cecil College has been serving the community and shaping its future for nearly 50 years. The College is governed by a Board of Trustees appointed by the governor. The College’s fifth president, Dr. Mary Way Bolt, reports directly to the Board of Trustees.
Cecil College is centrally located in Maryland’s most northeastern county, just one half mile from Interstate 95. It is easily accessible from Philadelphia and Baltimore, as well as from Wilmington, Delaware.
With a diverse student population, Cecil College enrolls approximately 2,500 credit students and 3,400 non-credit students. Cecil offers associate degrees, certificate programs and non-credit classes. Cecil offers a variety of associate degree and certificate programs.

Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom and in-car instruction as outlined in the Maryland Standardized Curriculum Guide. Monitor student attendance in assigned courses; maintain daily student attendance records. Monitor daily work performance (progress) of students and complete curriculum records or reports as required by the MVA. Report needed car repairs to Program Administrative Assistant. Report any program or student problems to the Director. Other duties as assigned by the Director.

Requirements:
- Requires Maryland MVA certification.
- Requires a valid Drivers License for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- No more than three (3) current points on the driving record. No record of serious violations. No DUI or DWI or alcohol restriction.
- Must pass criminal background check. Pass DOT Physical, drug and alcohol screen.
- Must be willing to conform to the teaching methods and standards set by the Cecil College program.
- Willing to abide by all program rules and regulations set for staff and students.
- Willing to work weekends and evenings as assigned.
- The College provides tuition waiver for courses taken at Cecil College for part time employees after the employee has been at the College for one year and has worked a minimum of 600 hours.

Rate: $18/hr if hired without certification and considered an apprentice for behind the wheel lessons; $21/hr if hired with certification for behind the wheel lessons; Classroom Instruction is $26.66. This is a non-exempt (hourly), overtime eligible position;
