Dynamic Assembly Inspector - 2nd Shift
Description
Function/Program:Manufacturing
Work Performed:
Inspects by visual examination or by precision measurement with instruments, gages, patterns, designs, etc., assembly of transmissions, gear boxes and other dynamic components for finishes, precision mating or fitting, sizes, dimensions, layouts, locations, and quality of workmanship. Operates special kinds of testing instruments and equipment as required. Works from complicated or detailed blueprints, diagrams, engineering acceptance specs, etc. to obtain proper specifications. Must be qualified to evaluate the condition of transmissions and gear box components during overhaul and to qualify after acceptance testing. Approves acceptable work or rejects all work which fails to meet required standards and recommends corrective action to prevent recurrence. Rechecks when corrective measures have been completed. Inspectors must have had additional training and experience required to handle the more difficult and complicated phases of inspection work.
Tools & Equipment Used:
Inspectors’ hand and marking tools and electricians’ or mechanics’ hand tools. Precision measuring instruments and special alignment and testing devices and equipment.
Qualifications
Experience & Other Requirements:
Two years assembly inspection experience plus one year dynamic components assembly inspection experience.

Three years assembly inspection experience at Bell Helicopter Textron.
