About the Job
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Temporary to Permanent Full-Time E-Commerce Assistant to assist our E-Commerce Specialist in managing and growing our online store. This entry-level role focuses on website optimization, content updates, and supporting affiliate marketing efforts across multiple platforms. No prior e-commerce experience is necessary, making it a great opportunity for those eager to gain hands-on experience in online retail. The temporary period is 3 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Online Product Listings: Assist in creating and updating product listings on our various websites like Shopify, Amazon, or other seller platforms, ensuring descriptions, images, and details are accurate, appealing, and optimized for each platform.
- SEO Optimization: Help optimize product descriptions and other on-page content to improve search engine visibility.
- Website Updates: Help maintain and update website content, including landing pages, banners, and product categories, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Affiliate Marketing Support: Manage affiliate marketing assets such as tracking links and banners. Coordinate with affiliate partners by sending newsletters.
- Quality Assurance: Regularly review the website and other seller platforms for content accuracy, broken links, and product detail issues, working with the team to resolve any discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in e-commerce, online retail, or digital marketing.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts (SEO, affiliate marketing, inbound marketing) is a plus.
- Ability to work with content management systems (CMS) such as Shopify, WordPress, or similar platforms (training will be provided).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Eagerness to learn and collaborate in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of SEO principles and online copywriting best practices.
Education and Experience:
- Degree or Certification: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Business, Communications) or certifications in digital marketing, SEO, or project management are preferred but not required.
- E-commerce Platform Familiarity: Basic experience or familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, etc., is a plus but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Some knowledge of HTML, CSS, or other web technologies can be helpful but is not required.
Industry Experience: Previous internships or part-time work in a related field would be an advantage but not necessary for an entry-level role.
Physical Requirements:
