Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic electroencephalograph (EEG) testing.
+ Attach, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to leads from electroencephalograph machine.
+ Review patient's record and instructs patients prior to procedures. Monitor patient during procedures and reports any abnormal findings.
+ Identify and correct for artifacts. Edit and forward results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
+ Maintain EEG equipment and supplies.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
+ Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
Training during day shift, evening shift once trained
