ELA, Math Middle School Teacher - Torah Academy of Boca Raton

Torah Academy of Boca Raton is seeking a capable and professional Elementary Special Ed Resource Room/Reading Specialist teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.

The candidate should have appropriate educational background and related experience working with students and have the ability to differentiate instruction based on assessment data. In addition to applying creative, innovative, and engaging methodology, candidates should be familiar with Orton/Gillingham or comparable programs. Job Description:

• Designs and implements academic interventions using research-based methodology

• Differentiates instruction based on assessment data

• Works with teachers to modify assessments as deemed necessary 

• Collaborates with teachers to create plans for student success

• Responsible for teaching executive functioning skills to students in Grades 6-8 and helping the students implement them

• Communicates with school personnel and parents of children regarding all academic levels and rate of progress

• Documents interventions and progress on each child

• Compiles, maintains, and files all reports, records, and other documents required

• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students

• Maintains a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members

• Carries out carpool duties

• Carries out lunch/recess duties 

Qualifications:

• Should have a masters level in Special Education or comparable

• 3 years or more experience preferred in special education instruction and intervention
