About the Job
Our Autonomous Vehicle client is looking for EMC Test Technician in Foster City, CA who will be responsible for testing hardware to ensure high performance and high reliability.
Description:
As a part of our Advanced Hardware Engineering (AHE)’s EMC Lab team, our technicians setup, execute, and debug tests on our sensors and compute hardware. We are detail oriented to ensure our test plans are executed with high fidelity. We are collaborative and work together to tackle projects as a team. We are looking for motivated individuals who have experience with electrical subsystems, aren’t afraid to challenge themselves, and are eager to learn.
Responsibilities:
Perform emissions and immunity testing on electrical subsystems.
Thoroughly document test execution and data capture.
Fabricate and modify cable harnesses from sketches or engineering drawings.
Assemble DUT test setups from per test plans / test standards.
Operate DUT test setup and EMI/EMC test equipment automation software.
Maintain lab upkeep and organization.
Manage calibration of test equipment through external vendors.
Test equipment procurement and support.
Qualifications:
AA or higher in electronics engineering technology, or equivalent.
4+ years EMC test lab experience.
Detail oriented and methodical.
Experience reading electrical schematics and/or engineering drawings.
Experience assembling and repairing cable harnesses.
Experience with RF/EE lab equipment (Antennas, EMI Receivers, Vector Network Analyzers, a Telecommunications and Media company Analyzers, RF Power Meters, RF Power Amplifiers).
Bonus qualifications:
Familiarity with ISO automotive EMC Test standards.
Experience reworking PCBAs.
Experience with test fixture design and fabrication.
Aerospace, Military, or Automotive DUT test experience.
Familiarity with Linux command line.
Experience with Test Automation Software (Python/Tile/EMC32/Labview).
